Earthquake

 Earthquake :

Earthquake is common disaster but it is most devastative. Because of earthquake many people have lost their life. 

"An earthquake is the sudden movements of the earth surface resulting of a sudden release of energy that creates seismic waves".





Causes:

It's causes are 
1. If two rocks or plates inside the earth crust rubbing against each other. 
2. Because of Heavy rainfall also. 
3. When govt. Build dams then probably it cause earthquake.
4. Volcanic eruption causes the earthquake also. 
5. Big construction becomes the cause of earthquake.
6. Because of High Co2 pressure reach to the earthquake.

Impact of Earthquake:

It's impact on our life is destructive as many people lost their life. Some of them get starved because of food scarcity. And some other people get poor and injured. 
Impact of earthquake on the earth as Tsunamis, landslide,  ground shaking, probably fire spread because of earthquake.

How we can detect the earthquake? 

So, Seismogram is a record of the ground motions caused by seismic waves from earth earth. And Seismograph or Seismometer is the instrument to measure the motion of ground due to earthquake.

Warnings are given by EEW:

EEW(Earthquake Early Warning system) = It is a kind of shakealert. It detects the time of earthquake and warns the people and suggest them to move from that place where the earthquake would occur. 

So, As we all know how much destructive disaster is it. 

"There are some records that were the largest and destructive earthquake ever". 

1.In Valdivia (Chile)on 22 May 1960, It was the earthquake of 9.5 Richter scaler.

 2.In Prince William Sound (Alaska) on 28 March1964 (9.0)*

3.In Sumatra, (Indonesia) on 26 December 2004 (9.1)*
4.In Sendai, (Japan) on 11 March 2011 (9.0)*.
5.In Kamchatka (Russia) on 4 November 1952 (9.0)*

6.In bio - bio (Chile) on 27 February 2010 (8.8)*.


We should be alert from the this harmful disasters. There are some guidelines that should be followed :

*Find a clear spot and drop to the ground. 

*Try to get as far away from buildings, power lines, trees, and streetlights as possible.

*If you're in a vehicle, pull over to a clear location and stop. 

*Stay inside with your seatbelt fastened until the shaking stops.
